News: World's 'most expensive toilet'

You'll have to spend more than a penny to get your hands on this sparkling lavatory bowl

If you've ever fancied adding a bit of bling to your bathroom then this could be the toilet for you.

And it's not just any old toilet - it's a toilet encrusted with 72,000 Swarovski crystals - and you will have to splash out an eye-watering £84,000 to get your hands on it.

The bedazzled lavatory bowl was created by Japanese designer Ginza Tanaka and took over one month to complete.

Crowds of people turned up to ogle the sparkling toilet when it went on show at the China International Kitchen & Bathroom Expo 2015 in Shanghai on Wednesday.

There's no word on whether an entire bathroom set will be designed to match the toilet, but for now the piece is just a one off.

It is not known whether the toilet was sold to anyone at the event.

Last year, an incredible - but rather useless - chocolate bathroom suite made up of nine million calories was designed as part of a PR stunt.

It cost a whopping £80,000 and featured a toilet, sink and bidet made entirely of the sweet stuff.
