votersDifferent polling units experienced delay in schedule of the election exercise due to some complications in the accreditation process.
Presiding Officers in several polling units had complained of issues with accreditation where voters whose PVC codes though corresponds with the required polling unit code yet their names were not present on the voters accreditation list despite having their PVCs read by the Card Readers.
Voters were required to report to the Polling Units with codes matching the last three digits of their PVC codes where their names can only be found.
A voter named Christy Agbale, complained about her name being absent from the list.
“This is the centre where I had registered for my PVC. When I had returned to the centre for collection of my PVC, I was refered to a different centre for collection, I was told that the centres had been grouped.”
“Now, I have not been allowed to conclude my accreditation because my name could not be found on the accreditation list. Despite the fact that the biometrics confirmed my PVC, I am still not allowed to be accredited because my name is not on the list. I have been here since morning and had been on the queue in the scorching sun and I have been told to go to a different Polling Centre which ‘possibly’ shares the same polling Code as this one. This is frustrating.”
